I wish you all a fun & yummy Postcrossing!
That moment when my hobby inspires others. A postcard artist turns my photos into drawings for a creative marathon. Footnote: Rétromobile Citroën 2CV6 Spécial. 🚗🎨🖼️💌 p.s. Reference — the footnote, an auxiliary image: a picture or photo that an artist or designer studies before work, to more precisely convey details, to obtain additional information, ideas.
Travel Tip: Take a Moment to Send a Postcard to Yourself. Have you ever posted a card to yourself? This is one I did. I recently went to Zaragoza for a couple of days in August...Fantastic stay! The staff of the hotel seemed to know that a Postcrosser was going to visit them: а "Welcome" postcard was waiting for me in the room!
The mirific and authentic Basque Country. The Basque country looks too green to be Spain and too arid to be confused with France. The entire area has a surface of only 8,218 km2. Of the seven Basque provinces, four are in Spain and three in France. Honored for its wonderful landscapes and the specificity of its culture. The beauty of Europe lies in its diversity. Differences. Similarities. Fairy tales. Differences merge into similarities, weaving stories. My story on these mythical realms begins in 2011, a year of grade 10 with an experienced experience. But this is another s t o r y...

Did you know that the world celebrates the birthday of the mailbox? And it's not about services Google, Yandex, Mail and so on. Here's a special day: 2nd of August you can celebrate those modest metal boxes for sending or receiving paper letters and newspapers :) .It says that 360 years ago, the first box was invented and put into use... First mailboxes were dark blue, built from planks and lined with sheet iron. Today iron blue boxes became habitual. Congratulations, Postcrossers and pen pals! Hurrah! I wish that all users mailboxes receive only good news! 📬💃💌
Les voilà! There they are! 1. Share the "paper happiness." Mailbox in Doneztebe / Santesteban. Buzón in Spanish is a mailbox. 2.Pastoral. The green road Bidasoa, Navarre, Northern Spain. 3. The beauty that can not be hidden! Do you know that "MoldovaStamps" is one of the most popular philatelic sites in the world? The owner of this resource - Niall Patrick Murphy, a passionate philatelist, and professional web developer, mentioned my project Photocards for Postcrossing in a positive way: "Really excellent work! Bravo Yulia, - he commented on social networks. And included this address in the International Philatelic Society website's list of Useful Links, adding description: 💌Yulia Palacios has made this super postcards site, with a special focus on Postcrossing.💌 http://www.moldovastamps.org/info_links.asp
The traveling postman. Event of the day: POSTCROSSING 2nd International Meeting between Republic of Moldova and Romania. This awesome reunion for all those who are linked with the passion of exchanging postcards and stamps is organized on my fatherland by Poşta Moldovei, at the central post office in Chisinau! 😍Happy Postcrossing! Send and receive postcards back is great. 💌
Chamartín is the old district of Madrid, in which the architectural delights of past centuries and modern skyscrapers of glass and concrete were seamlessly intertwined. Today it is one of the most expensive areas of Madrid, the AZCA business center – the Madrid Manhattan – is located here, as well as the headquarters of major Spanish companies, the highest skyscrapers of the city, including the "Picasso Tower", a modern monument to the "Gate of Europe" (towers inclined at an angle of 15 degrees) and Chamartín Station, one of the most important in the country. I've heard two statements about Madrid: "Madrid killed me" (Madrid me mata) and "From Madrid straight to heaven!" (De Madrid al cielo). These sayings have appeared, because this city is the noisiest in Europe: a lot of cars, bicycles, besides of all, the Spaniards usually speak loud, the inhabitants of this city very much love: dogs, cigarettes, delicious treats, parties, alcohol, dances and warmth. Here people live without complexes, they say what they think and there are not afraid of anything. Gracias por su visita. :)
As soon as summer arrive, favourite travel season will start. How exciting it is to discover new corners of the world, country's unique cities, and places! Nowadays we share impressions via social networks or sending photos on email. In the last and current postcard era it was customary to send "a rectangular piece of thick paper" showing the image of locals in national suits, as well large city views. On this postcard: Contemporary view on very old village.
Monday - that's my favorite day. Good Morning greetings to All! "Don't tell your friends about your indigestion. 'How are you' is a greeting, not a question". (Arthur Guiterman). On this postcard: Doneztebe/Santesteban. This elegant settlement nestles in the valley of Malerreka, flanked by several mountains including Mendaur.
A nice postcard exchange. So excited to have received a beautiful card this morning from sunny Portugal. Manuel, the sender, wrote: "This postcard shows two things we, Portuguese, like very much: " cafe" and "Pastel de nata" - a very tasty and sweet cake". On the other hand, one of my author's coffee drinking theme postcardscards traveled to the USA and reached one of the largest cities of Hawaii - Waipahu. Drinking coffee each day has several health benefits. Well, the biggest benefits of Postcrossing is the connection with people different from you. Postcrossing allows for inexpensive world exploration.
Celebrating Mother's Day in Spain. Shops all over Spain decorate their windows with chocolates, flowers, greeting cards and many other presents for Mother’s Day. However, the handmade gifts and cards are more appreciated. The usual gifts of flowers or chocolates are common in Spain, as are cards. However, Spain does not have the same card-giving culture as, say, the United Kingdom does. Here is my new Multiview Postcard ¡Felíz Día de las Madres!
Medieval old Doneztebe/Santesteban is a town I know, where time is slowed to stills… Small and simple, but elegant settlement, in medieval times it was a merchant’s village and still makes its living from commerce today. There’s shops and stores and bars where all three meals are served…. The hamlet sprawls around the church of San Pedro. Renovated in Baroque style, with a distinguished interior, the parish church boasts a notable ashlar tower of medieval appearance which was part of the former Castle of the Count of Lerín. Avaliable on greeting cards as well as on wall clocks!
Once, me, as well as you, have got under the magic of postcrossing and since then I'm under charms of this wonderful hobby. I love to receive and send real postcards. Now, as you know this fact, all is said. But not all done. My passion toward this process, my "hobby with a heart" grew into something more - a desire to share with your my own postcards. And Voila! There is only a few "ingredients" to add: nice stamps, warm words and unique handwriting - in a word, all this reprezent a part of our soul, which is the most important component of the postcrossing alchemy. P.S. This postcard goes directly to Brasil, to Luiza Paiva De Angelis aka Forella505.
